I think its something to do with the spring or ball (I haven't got a clue what i am taking about lol). Please could people tell me what it could be and how much I can expect to pay Happy xmas all and have a great new year Tony
Gaz6002
That is an impossible question to answer without more information. What does the noise sound like and when does it happen? TBH I think you'd be best getting the car to a specialist to get it sorted.

Scooter
just to rule it out it's worth popping your foot/hand on your tail pipe and checking for excessive movement and possible knock.....
Tyson
just to rule it out it's worth popping your foot/hand on your tail pipe and checking for excessive movement and possible knock..... +1 Sounds to me like a possible knackered shock absorber ? Have you checked your diff oil level? Just suggestions could do with a little more info if possible.

TonytotheB
Sorry for double post Edit: sorted now The clunk seems to be coming from the brakes. What is the classic sign/sound that one needs new pads versus the brakes themselves? Thanks in advance Edited December 29, 2010 by TonytotheB (see edit history)
