Guest codyjack7
Ive had this supra for a while now and a week ago i was getting on an on ramp and while accelerating it suddenly started acting like it wasnt getting gas. i figured i had a clogged fuel filter or faulty fuel pump. i was able to dive the rest of the way home driving 20 mph ( as fast as it would go) on the shoulder. I bought a fuel filter and fuel pump and replaced them both. now it is still doing the same thing. I also drained my tank and put new gas in it thinking that maybe i somehow got water in it. After doing all this the problem still remains. I have no idea what to do. the car will start and most of the time idle pretty well but when i gas on it, it will rev up but it will crash when it goes back down and die. It just seems to not be running smoothly. and if i do try to drive it, it still wont go any faster than around 20-30 mph no matter where i have the gas pedal held. Can anyone help? tbourner
Welcome! No idea, when I had a similar issue it was a faulty fcd cutting the 12V to the ECU for fuelling so it was popping and banging all over the place.
Guest JDMDOM
I had almost the same problem with my 96 tt jdm, and i find out i had a bad spark plug. also my friend with a S15 silvia had the same problem and it was a leack on the intercooler piping. so before you get into expensive repairs check your plugs and check your intercooler piping.
