Charlotte
Actually for a healthy person a short course of anti-biotics is fine. If you take them long term then you should take some preventative measures against yeast infections and the like. Great that we have so many helpful 'google' doctors on here. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Correct me if I'm wrong Charlotte but I thought you couldn't vaccinate against a virus anyway?
Charlotte
Who is talking about vaccination? Kev sounds like he's been treated for a bacterial infection which has followed a cold.
Morpheus
Who is talking about vaccination? Kev sounds like he's been treated for a bacterial infection which has followed a cold. Or Flu, both caused by a virus, hence my question, since we keep being told to get protected from the latest one, so that this doesn't happen. I thought you might know the answer, that's all. About 3 months ago I caught a fever with no nasal congestion atall, then after a week, a coughing Flu and it's taken 8-10 weeks to go away and I've never coughed so much in my life but never once coughed up blood. Jord
Of course this could be the Zombie outbreak I've been waiting for.. Good luck either way though.. Haha I was actually just thinking that, sounds way too similar to Resident Evil. I've had a sore throat for the last couple of days and I'm pretty sure I could taste blood earlier after coughing loads, not anywhere close to your issue though. For now I'm manning up and hoping it'll go away. Good luck!

evinX
I think charlottes right, i researched what it could be before i went to the clinic, and the doctor was suprised becuase my theory was the same as his lol, burst some vessels and ive got an infection hence the constant blood, otherwise they wouldnt take this long to heal...i havnt eaten properly for 1 week, i had like 1 sausage and chips, a burger and chips + some soup during the whole week and im just going on water now trying to help the infection, ah i hate this, cant have no alcohol and its christmas day:( i will have a load of christmas dinnner though:D
Jord
Glad it's not anything too serious but the no alcohol on xmas day situation is a bit harsh mate!
