I have chest related problems, noone knows what it is so it's labelled as asthma. This leaves me with all your symptoms, minus the sore throat, with additional breathing issues for the whole winter period....... it's a fecking nightmare.

You might have Polyps up your nose Scott. I had this a couple of years ago and an operation sorted it for a while but they have come back but not as bad as before. I used to always feel bunged up, headaches around my forehead (sinus blockage) difficulty breathing and at night it was really bad as I was breathing through my mouth all the time and snoring.

Get to the docs and see if they'll have a look up your nose..!!

I doubt that is what it is as I have had various chest x-rays and soundings etc, I wheeze like an old man when entering a hot or cold area (Change of temperature seriously brings it on badly).

Also, I can't remember the last time I took a breath through my nose. I was never able to breathe comfortably through my nose as a kid, might even be down to the "asthma". Having broken my nose a few times will have added to that lol.

Curry, vitamin C, bat wing soup... nothing can shift a cold. And I'm not going to the doctor saying 'Boo hoo I have a cold...' with all the other numpties. I'd rather just moan about it on here :sly:

The lemsip max strength powder things actually DO work. They will perk you up for a few hours anyway. I was really under the weather last year and my Wife got me some of those, I don't really take things like that as they rarely act as anything other than a placebo but I made it through a rough few days at work thanks to those bad boys.

Yes I take that stuff but like you say it just alleviates the symptoms temporarily. Then it starts all over again.

My mate in Edinburgh had similar symptoms to you. He just had an operation on the NHS last week to widen the passages in his nose. Time will tell whether it works or not.

The change of temperature thing is classic Asthma Scott. This time of year is the worst for me but I have inhalers that I take everyday. If you stick to the course they do stop it. I have never been good at keeping to routines though.

I wouldn't listen to a GP (guess practitioner) if I was pooing blood, I'd be straight to A+E with a bucket full to show them.

It's only a bit of blood and it's fresh so they said it's not really a problem. They sent a sample off for tests and it came back fine.

I've got another appointment next Thursday so we'll see what they say this time.

But still, it's not good at all.

Do you have a boyfriend that you dont know about?

That's what she said!

It really is, the doctor asked if I was in a "sexual relationship" so I said "yes". She then asked "with a female?".

All options exhausted. Maybe that would sort it though....

You have PM.
