kaahari
Hi! Local finnish club member got broblem after swapped aristo motor to his jdm na supra. Car is running jdm 6spd ecu and engine wont boost above ~4000rpm. With his diagnose, it`s like "partial" fuel cut, not head in windscreen but total loss of boost above 4000rpm. He done so far: checked boost leaks, sequential hoses, tried ttc mod and even swapped different turbos :taped: I noticed similiar broblems on US forums referring tps, so, simple question to rule out: Does JDM aristo TPS work with jdm supra 6spd ecu? because he got aristo intake manifold and aristo tps. Are the other gizzmos compatible with supra ecu? MAP etc? . Edited December 23, 2010 by kaahari (see edit history)
Swampy442
Yes the TPS will work, has he got the Aristo ECU? try that as well, you can run an auto ECU with a manual box. As the figure 4000rpm is mentioned, check the VSV for the EGV is operating, thats where no 2 turbo should come online

When he tried TTC, he made it with manually forced EGCV and IACV open and also made pressuce check to hoses and there was not boost leaks. Really weird broblem. We thought it must be ecu / electronic releted because *all* that we could think, is made to turbos / hoses / pipes and still no luck. I think it could be ecu related, because when motor goes to stock maps broblem starts. (btw tried without track+abs fuses so no traction control fault... atleast not mechanical
Swampy442
Has he just converted to manual or has it been manual for a while?
