caseys
Just a question - what's the race that people look forward to the most in the 2011 calender? I'd quite like another wet Korean GP. And I'm still determined to go out and watch the Singapore GP sometime.
supralu
Looking forward to Canada and Spa. Always produce great racing. Im hoping to attend Spa and drive there in my Supra this year. It'll be my first f1 gp :-)
tbourner
Apart from Silverstone, I'd say Abu Dhabi. Although Monaco might be interesting with the new rules, if overtaking is actually any better! Also the new India circuit (is that even finished?). Opening line should read 'Super-rich short-arse admits to making up a load of boll*cks in order to drum up excitement for a damp squib of a race that offers nothing to F1 except more money for the rich from the rich'. caseys
"The danger is obvious, isn't it? If these people wanted to make a fuss and get worldwide recognition it would be easy, wouldn't it? "You start making a problem on the start grid in Bahrain and it would get worldwide coverage." No, that's not given anyone an idea to buy a ticket to the GP and do that, in turn promoting the GP a lot more..

Thorin
So, the GP2 race weekend has been cancelled, and F1 testing due at Bahrain in just over two weeks time. It's not looking great.

I think it'd make an interesting race having to swerve round all the protesters each lap. I remember that one race where a bloke in a kilt invaded the track briefly a few years back. Tony
They don't deserve it. Hoping Abu dhabi gets cancelled too Why dont they?
The Restorer
Theres talk of maybe restaging it somewhere else. What other tracks would be able to get prepped for a F1 race within 2 weeks...
colsoop
It takes a week or so to get all the gear in to place before the race doesn't it? What about the security of moving all this gear in to place. Even if they stopped rioting in the next few days it would be tight, and whats to say the people wouldn't use the media scrum of F1 to protest. Next day or so i reckon little Bernie will announce something

johnny g
They don't deserve it. Hoping Abu dhabi gets cancelled too I was at Bahrain's track just as it was being completed, about 4 months before the first race. It's an amazing facility, puts Silverstone to shame - so if they don't deserve it, we sure as hell don't.
imi
Why dont they? nothing to do with the track or the facilities - more to do with the so called "royalty" that are in power, so its a political stance.
caseys
I'm sure there's an F1 thread lying around somewhere... I too think it'll be off. But staying purely political ambivalent here.
