tbourner Posted October 15, 2011 Share Posted October 15, 2011 You don't 'need something' to be depressed about, the same as catching a cold you can become depressed and it changes the way you perceive things, it's the cause of problems not the effect. Even the happiest people can become depressed. It's annoying when you're depressed and people keep saying "Why don't you come out, it'll cheer you up." like being 'cheered up' will somehow cure your chemically affected debilitating mental illness!! Anyway, CBT is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, it's a relatively new counselling style that tries to change the way you see your own thoughts and the way you react to situations, rather than the 'old' style therapies that just blame your upbringing. I don't watch F1 much these days, what's he done to make you think he's having his bumps felt? To be honest I don't really like him from what I have seen of him, nor his father, who was a PITA when he was karting. tbourner Posted October 15, 2011 Share Posted October 15, 2011 Yeah he got pole and just got out the car, left his lid on, didn't wave at anyone etc. It's classic behaviour being distant like that but a bit odd for someone in that kind of public facing job, suppose he can't drop off the radar that easily. Also the way he's been this year letting his anger show and making mistakes, some people have that mood swing kind of symptom where the smallest things makes your blood boil and you end up doing stupid things. Hamilton did a great job managing Webber - and Alonso, well, Massa wrecked his race otherwise he was in with a great shout of a podium. Great race, worth getting up for.
