hackin_n_bashin
There are 2 covers, one at 3 o'clock, one at 9, prise these out carefully, that will give you access to the 2 torx bolts behind them. Undo those, they are retained in the wheel, and pull the airbag out gently. There is a yellow cable on the rear of the airbag, unclip, and undo this and the airbag is out. Behind the airbag is a 17mm (I think, could be 19mm) nut. Give this a sharp yank anticlockwise and undo it until it's loose but still on the threads. A few short taps on the back of the wheel should free it off it's splines. Leaving the nut on will stop it hitting you in the face when it free's up

Tyson
I replace mine with an up to date alternative. I don't know if it works yet but the guy I bought it off says that I will never need another one. That's got to be good right? http://www.epicfail.net/wp-content/gallery/cache/384__h=x_airbag_epicfail.jpg

Graham S
Yeah, whatever you do, dosconnect your battery first. They say to leave it off for about half an hour before you remove the bag but never had any problems going straight in and removing it.
