Hi guys,

Well although I am looking @ getting a Supra in the not too distant future.... I have spent quite a lot of monies on my current car (Civic Type R) and I recently had it remapped

[/GRIN]

Current mods are:

- Gruppe M (intake)

- RBC Inlet Manifold

- DC Sports header 4-2-1 (exhaust manifold)

- Spoon B pipe

- Spoon N1 (tail pipe)

- K100 (ecu)

Pics from the day:

Car on the Dyno, it was freezing cold and my mate decided to use the last of my heating and gave me the finger the cheeky badger!

Yes that's right, they've cut the bonnet so the turbo can fit

Close up of the turbo lol

Flywheel power - 240.6 bhp

Wheel power - 201.7 bhp.. (on a previous run it made 204.7bhp)

So results:

240.6 bhp and 172 lbs/ft of torque [sHOCK]

a puny amount in comparison to a stock TT Supra but it has a lot less weight to lug around ;) :p

It now revs to almost 9k on the clocks and VTEC kicks in @ 5000rpm instead of 6!

Over all very happy with it... spent £140 in fuel in about 3 days after I had it mapped so I need to be careful now....

I also had a bit of fun with a modified Skyline GTS (on a private road of course) 140mph 5th gear @ 8500rpm he was sat on my bumper changed to 6th he pulled out and couldn't get past [COOL][/COOL]

That's all for now :innocent:

Comments and opinions welcome!

Nice, similar mods i'm planning on doing to mine. Must be a little more fun to drive now :D

Yea, it feels a lot quicker mid-range top end ish compared to before (I had just the Gruppe M and Spoon B pipe / Spoon N1)...

I haven't had a decent dry day since though lol & FWD with 200+bhp = fail :(

Is there much difference from the K100 and K-pro?

K100 = £600 ish

K-pro = £900 ish

K100 is cheaper because you can't map it yourself (you have to get it done by a tuning company)... when I had mine done he removed the k100 and fitted a kpro to map it... once the map was saved he loaded it onto the k100 and thats it... it hasn't bothered me as I would never want to tinker with my own car :)

Get it supercharged! :)

Would love to get it supercharged bud, it's £2k for the whole kit and £3k fitted (I get free labour from my mate so wouldn't need it fitted :D)

Ah, Eurospec, I went to a rolling road day there earlier this year, good bunch of folks there, they liked my Aristo :)

Yea Romain mapped mine, he's absolutely amazing at mapping the type r's... 240.6bhp on those rollers for my mods is very impressive :)

A mate of mine in work has a tuned Type r. He's seen what the supra can do on a decent stretch of road next to his Civic.........he wants a supra now :D

I want one next ;)

The civic is great, for a hot hatch it's epic... but for chasing those big power / torque numbers you have to have forced induction or a huge engine! (or both) :)

Against a stock Supra TT I don't think mine would be too far off

Not to sure, the Supras weighs a fair bit more, but also has alot more torque than the Civic. Would be interesting to find out though. On the plus side, you'll probably still see the best part of 40 MPG (being careful) in your Civic, Supras can be very thirsty.
