SupraDan24
Because he stitched them up by "revealing" the secret to make a small amount of cash prior to christmas. How do you know he only made a small amount of money, just out of curiosity? You make it sound like he was short on cash for Xmas lol. Josh
How do you know he only made a small amount of money, just out of curiosity? You make it sound like he was short on cash for Xmas lol. Because he wrote a book. If he hadn't said anything I doubt it would have sold that well as no one really knows him but if it's got stuff in it about him being the Stig then he would sell more copies. So he probably did it so the book would sell more thus making him more money. Well I think that's right
merckx
Nice Ferrari. Jason Plato on Fifth Gear said it's the best car he's driven. I didn't like the look of the Porsche at all, the SLS is okay but to me looks small and hasn't got road presence that you would expect for that sort of money. Rob
How do you know he only made a small amount of money, just out of curiosity? You make it sound like he was short on cash for Xmas lol. Its a small scale seller, in the whole world of publishing. Its not going to run and run for all his life and provide him with a steady income. OTOH, I don't know how much life was left in the Stig Character, but it wasn't waning in the TV shows, he was always there in comedic sections and of course the testing. A few more series? Who knows, but it seemed a far steadier income and longer life than just knocking an auto-biog out for a minority market just before Xmas. The Raven
Just watching this, kinda pissed alittle as they have belittled the whole issue of iraq into a joke about IEDS and other pointless stuff.
jonathanc
Just watched it on iPlayer its brilliant! Can't wait to watch the rest of the series!
jonathanc
Just watching this, kinda pissed alittle as they have belittled the whole issue of iraq into a joke about IEDS and other pointless stuff. Well it was just a light hearted joke. I think the main point is they didn't drag this into another war debate... I like the fact that they mentioned how beautiful Iraq can be. The Raven
Agreed. Just stuck a little bit how they turned the whole trip into a joke when loads of people are being killed everyday. I think they could have found another place to carry out the rigged show is all.

I like the fact that they mentioned how beautiful Iraq can be. it was before we joined in to invade it... thought the program was quite dull and boring compared to the American trip. Septic
Has anyone noticed how James May has become more relaxed and actually seems to enjoy himself these past two episodes as compared to before? Although I do feel for him after he smacked his head....that looked painful.
ivan
What a load of old tosh trip that was! Yet another excuse for 3 grown men to act like kids in front of a camera. I usually like TG but it's beginning to get just a bit too silly.
JakeG
Iv always liked top gear, but last nights was not there best, the American trip last week was brilliant
Guigsy
I thaught the America one was dull tbh
Josh
They were both a little boring really. I love the programme and watch it religiously on Dave but these new episodes are sort of boring. Bring back the proper episodes about cars and get rid of all the staged crap as it's too predictable now!
tbourner
These 2 weren't supposed to be proper episodes, well maybe the US one was, but the Middle East was a special, it wasn't meant to be a motoring review show it was a Christmas specialy made program based on Top Gear - the same as every other program makes Christmas specials - get over it.
