tbourner
it goes with is your car front or rear wheel drive "dunno" well when you lift the bonnet which way round is the engine that normally gives it away " dunno never looked under the bonnet" that why some basic mechanical knowledge came into the driving test i guess, shame its not more Didn't the Passat have a longitudinal engine and FWD? Or the other way around? I'm sure some cars do anyway.
Gaz6002
X3 or the 330iX? Neither of which are FWD
Scott
Neither of which are FWD I was thinking that, and also that the X3 isn't even a 3 series lol. Is the X3 same as the X5? Xdrive or whatever it's called.

mistertwo
hahahaha. Having sat in traffic all day while idiot drivers try to mount the kerb in the snow and ice, this has made my day
David P
... and it doesn't stop there MNin7QJEOZE See a damsel in distress. Make a video and take the p!$$. Maybe he will sue too for damage to property. U.K.s' new 'modern man' strikes again. Long gone are the days of chivalry.

David P
Regardless of gender, colour or race, I would have been out there pushing and shoveling. I regard this as pathetic, and a prime example of U.K.s' new 'modern man'. Maybe my chivalry is a sign of maturity.

BazzaAlpine
Chivalry is dead. I've been like that my whole life and all it got me was broke and single. Wouldn't have stopped me from offering to help but so glad I wasn't in the position where I'd need to.
Scott
It's not to say the guy wouldn't have gotten out and helped. I was stuck in the mondeo a week or so back when a guy came out of the house across from us and gave me a push. He said he had been watching me for 5 minutes trying to dig myself out of the hole, and having a good laugh, and decided to come out and see if he could lend a hand. It is unfair to judge that the person videoing wouldn't have had his fill after a small time and gone out to help when he realised she was getting nowhere. If I got out of my house everytime I saw a car struggle on a hill/road I would be as well keeping my coat on. I have only actually had to go out once where the person couldn't actually get anywhere (an old guy that didn't really understand that flooring it wasn't the best plan of action). Supra Gaz
I have just come back from Tesco and seen a 2002 Toyota celica with chains on it's rear wheels, it did make me giggle....
Thorin
Snow chains? What's wrong with these people? I'm still driving the Supra to work every day.

Yes, Audi A4 also has longitudinal engine with FWD, so it's not always an indication of drive.
Attero
It's the direction of the gearbox isn't it?
kill1308
Bit harsh this I reckon, I'd have been out there helping rather than giggling like a kid and filming it.

They are to be filmed, laughed at and poked with sticks at any moment of trouble, because it's fun.

RedM
I'd have gone out to offer help. Something along the lines of "It's rear wheel drive, you dozey f**ker" before going back indoors.
