chrispot
i am pretty sure its M12 x 1.25mm pitch, one word of caution, i had a oil temp sensor in the sump plug and when i changed my oil it broke, it had a 1/8 npt sensor in the middle which does not leave a lot of metal and can leave the sump plug a bit weak, now put mine in the remote oil filter housing, regards chris
Lude
hmm anyoe else have theirs in the sump? cant imagine the bolt breaking, unless you do it up stupidly tight
Chris Wilson
I have used these many times, the wall thickness is pretty low, so you MUST be careful not to overtighten them. I use a Dowty seal on them, as they need very little torque to seal.
chrispot
hmm anyoe else have theirs in the sump? cant imagine the bolt breaking, unless you do it up stupidly tight mine broke because i tapped it out to take a 1/8 npt fitting, and there was not enough metal on the head of the bolt, i only tightened it up normally! 12mm x 1.25 bolt = 10.75mm bolt thickness drill size for 1/8 npt 8.6mm = wall thickness of 10.75 - 8.6 = 2.15 /2 = 1.075 mm wall thickness thats why it broke! so to go on about it, gave you some advise about size etc, not one word of thanks but an insult to saying i did the bolt up stupidly tight
