Crazybassist
The other day I was thinking about how my cars have been getting faster and faster each time I've replaced them (like you do). And it made me wonder about how other people made their way up to a supra. For me, I started with a 1.1 mk3 Fiesta, which when you put the boot down made more noise but didnt actually go any faster! Then I had a nippy wee Mini (classic of course, none of that german crap!) with a 1.0 liter, which then got an MG metro lump, followed by a 1293 fast road engine. After that I got a 2.0 liter Audi 80 - boring didnt cover it! After that it was a BMW 325 coupe, my first proper fast car Loved that car, learned how to drift with her (not that I'm any good mind ). And then I got my Supra. Happy days! So how did everyone else get to what you've got now?
Scott
I had a Veyron, got bored so bought a Ferrari Enzo. I STILL wasn't happy so moved over to the Porsche GT2, that was nippy but a little footloose at times so I moved onto the 911 turbo. From there I went for an R35 which was too lunky for my liking so I ended up with a manual Supra TT.... I haven't looked back since. ManwithSupra
My first car was an F Reg Ford Fiesta XR2 with a set OZ superturismo wheels with a stock engine, the engine later died. The second car i had was another Ford Fiesta XR2 but with Twin webber 45's, 4 branch manifold, Piper Cam with adjustable Gear, port matched and Gas flowed head and some other basic engine and suspension mods (Magnecore HT leads, OMP strut braces and Coilovers etc) kept it stock on the outside except for clear indicator lenses and a Set of Fox 5 wheels, inside i also had a pair of Corbeau GTB Recliners to replace the grey seats it came with and a Momo "Race" Steering wheel The 3rd Car i had was a Citreon Saxo VTR - a truly horrible car in every aspect and to be honest in my mind a step down from the XR2's The 4th Car i had was a 02 plate Honda Civic Type R (EP3) didnt do much to this at all as it was my first newish car so wanted to keep it as stock as possible, i did however find some very attracive looking projector headlights from the states which i converted the pattern so i could use them in the UK. I then swapped my Civic Type R for my Current Supra which i have now had for coming up to 6 years and i dont think i will ever sell just love it way too much. Since the supra i have had a number of boring 2nd daily driver cars which were... Pug 309 trio (engine died), Ford Feista 1.1lx (rear ended on the motorway), Ford Esccort 1.4lx (Gearbox died) now i have a 2005 Ford Focus phase 2 1.8TDCI climate which i should of just got to start with Edited December 18, 2010 by ManwithSupra (see edit history)
Nemesis
Mini 1275 fabulous kept for two years, then shed after shed until a prelude v tec, then a Mitsi Starion 2.6 turbo which was drasticly overtuned, mad mad mad. Now an auto bpu and it's a keeper.

leet45single
first bought a nova 1.2 for £20 when i was 13 to have a bit of fun and learn to drive (not on the road), after passing my first car was a clio 1.2 facelift, then a 1.7 vtec civic coupe, bought a couple old minis too but there not on the road yet. and now the supra single turbo so one hell of a jump, the only thing that i had been in with that power was exotic cars on track days but still didnt come anywhere close to owning a car with that power. Then I stopped messing about and got a facelift na 5 speed. Then I stopped messing about and got a uk spec tt bpu. More or less doubled bhp with each purchase. My next car should be a 800bhp single

SupraDan24
My first car was a crappy 1.3 clio RT, loved it too pieces even though the sunroof leaked onto the driver/passenger depending on what direction you were turning. After that i bought a 54 plate Fiat Stilo (), as it was going VERY cheap. Still have it to this day infact as its the Mrs car now. Not a bad little car tbh, depsite being a Fiat. I then bought my first Supra, silver NA auto, loved that car to pieces, washed it to death and was rediculously spoilt. Next, my first turbo'd car when i bought my Evo IV. Brilliant fun to drive, acceleration was stunning and always put a smile on my face. Sold that on the day after i bought my current Supra which is a BPU TT 6 speed. I bought my classic mini in BRG the following month, nice way to spend best part of 13k in little over 2 weeks lol.

Supra Gaz
My motoring life started with a silver 1.4 Ej9 civic, it was brilliant apart from a broken steering rack which lead me into a solid metal post about 4 hours after buying it, so that died. I then had a black 1.0 Peugeot 206 3 door, it had a green interior and was bloody awful but I loved it (first proper car love), it got broken into and the stereo stolen, it wasn't the same after so I sold it. I then had company cars for 2 years while working at a Nissan Mazda franchise. I then bought a genuine mk5 Celica TRD, it was my first taste of modifying, unfortunately it burnt oil and despite and engine rebuild, it finally died so I chopped it in for an red E36 328i coupe, it was brilliant, tail happy and quite quick, I put 20k on it in a year as it was so much fun to drive and so useable, you didn't have to worry about speed bumps or holes in the road. Now the supra, I have wanted one since I was ten and saw one in a car show with my granddad, I said I would get one to him and now I have! I will never sell it, i will keep buying second cars so I can keep the Supra for fun, next is shed loads more money into the Supra once the baby is at school and a possible engine transmission swap. Just don't let the misses find out....
Tyson
95' 1.2 vauxhall corsa which I drove like I stole it. Thrashed it everywhere, I would say I redlined it but it didn't have a rev counter ..... 03' 1.8 MG ZR which was awesomely fun to drive which coincidentally is up for sale. 95' UK spec 6 speed which is beyond epic, I will never sell it.
