hackin_n_bashin
Hey computer types! I've just bought an Intempo I.D. Spirit, as they were pretty cheap and I was looking for something my mother could easily use to check her emails while I'm away. It works quite well, not as intuitive as an iPad, but not bad for £100. It's running Google Android firmware version 1.6, how do you, and is it worth trying to update it to 2.1 or 2.3? It doesn't seem to support multitouch yet, and the installed youtube player widget won't seem to work. Any advice, welcomed with open arms! Thorin
There probably isn't a way to update past 1.6, unless the manufacturer has posted an update on their site? Someone might have hacked a newer version on there.

creative
you could root it and run a custom rom. Have a look over on XDA forum to see how lost you can get! OT: i just had an OTA update from 1.6 to 2.2.1... cant complain!
