Newgendesign
Driving along through the winter Ive noticed my 1996 MKIV has developed a slight squeak (audible high pitched squeal) at certain speeds - sounding from teh rear of the car. Had new disks and brake pads a year ago with minimal use so it wont be those - wondering if its the rear wheel bearings? Any advice of what I could be looking at costwise to sort? Also heater has packed up - no damp footwell so maybe a blockage or thermostat issue? Bloody old cars eh? Any advice would be appreciated before I go to my local mechanics... Nic
It may be a seized brake caliper, after driving the car feel the wheels/hubs and see if one is hotter than the others.
