I was hoping they would , i was gonna get them wired into the closure alarm so as the windows go up and the mirrors fold away .

John:looney:

thats what mine do on clifford alarm. asked alarm fitter to wire them up for me.

the dont fold up until the ignition is off though, so if you have remote start activated then you arm the alarm the mirrors dont fold in till engines off.if car in valet mode they dont fold in.

there should be a long switch on right hand side where you can do it manual

and i read that you have heated or folded not both

Yeah 'cause you can't fold 'em in by hand!!!

You definately can't warm a pair of mirrors without the circuitry(sp?)..you can fold 'em manually.

I have the fold in ones, I agree it is a bit daft but if I ever park in a multi-story car part I always fold them in as you will always get someone brush past them when they try to get into their car.

I also fold them back in my garage so I can get out.!!!! :(

I'd much prefer heated ones though, I assume its just a matter of replacing the glass with one with the heater elements and wiring it into the heated rear screen switch???

The heated wing mirrors I have managed to smash had the element in the back plate not in the glass element.
