Second Car (Daily Driver)

Recommended Posts

I work at a supermarket and parking the supra in the car park is not ideal to say the least :( So I am looking to get a second car, I was wondering what people recommend?

It needs to be cheap (Budget 2k, 2.5 max for the right car), cheap to run and reliable. It needs to be able to used all year round (prefferably 4x4), big to lug a load of crap around and ideally 7 seater but not end of the world if it isn't.

The ones I have been looking at so far are pajero/shogun and hilux surf. What are your opinions guys ??

You don't need a 4x4, get a decent car with a set of winter tyres and you're laughing. At the risk of sounding like a Skoda PR, I'd advise you look at the Octavia Estate. I doubt you'll find a better car for the money.

will have a look thanks for the information mate

I thought jeeps were not very reliable and 4.0 V8 isn't exactly cheap to run lol would be looking for diesel.

If you stretch your budget to the max, you'd be able to get a facelift model which, I think, are a lot more reliable. To be honest, when I drove one, the fuel economy wasn't AS BAD as I was expecting for a big SUV.

I was playing along the lines of 'towering above other motorists' :)
