door not opening from outside, handle issue or something else

its for a renault megane 2, but logic applied to all cars really

 

the car isnt opening from outside the car, but it is opening from inside.

 

so guess its not stuck locked?

 

 

this has happende sine i slammed the door shut, but the handle was froze open.

when i shut the handle the door woudnt close even, had to use the fob to lock it.

 

any tips?

 

this a mechanical fault rarther than electrical?

Take the door card off and take a look at the mechanism

 

My drivers side door wouldnt open the other day so i just re greased all the inside gubbins and all is well now.

opend last nite,

 

i think the mechanism inside is froze, its cold down here south wales, -8 in the mornings!

 

need to grease it up inside think

Happened to me a couple of times this week. Just shot a load of WD40/De-icer into the key hole - ten minutes later all is fine!

all well and good on normal cars,

 

but the megane II has those stupid card things, so theres no bluddy hole on the drivers door
