neo2810
My case was delivered today so I spent a few hours doing the transplant. First impression was that it huge. Nearly a third bigger than my old case. Love the look though, somewhat like a stormtrooper that's been involved in a fight with a compactor. First of all, this is the mess I was ripping out: http://tapa.tk/mu/519cee9e-3c90-107c.jpg Here's the empty Phantom shell: http://tapa.tk/mu/519cee9e-3d64-0e4d.jpg I started with the PSU: http://tapa.tk/mu/519cee9e-3cd3-fd47.jpg Then fitted the rest of the internals http://tapa.tk/mu/519cee9e-3db9-4351.jpg Finally, tidied all the cabling: http://tapa.tk/mu/519cee9e-3df5-f2dc.jpg The finished product: http://tapa.tk/mu/519cee9e-3e2d-a0ce.jpg Now my old case only had a couple of 80mm fans and one 120mm so cooling was fairly basic. My mobo temp used to be about 43 idle, with CPU at about 40 idle and 55 load and GFX 55-60 idle and 75 load. All at stock. I pushed my Q6600 quad up to 2.7mhz right away and checked my temps: All at idle: Mobo - 28 CPU's - 32-35 GPU - 43 Well happy with those numbers so I'll run it for a few days and then kick it up another 300mhz. This is definitely a cracking case both in terms of layout and ease of install, as well as cooling capacity. It also has custom option to remove fan tray and fit a radiator so water cooling in future should be a simple fit.

Angarak
Whats the noise level like with the case fans?
neo2810
Whats the noise level like with the case fans? Great. It's near on silent with the fans turned right down (on the handy fan controller built in) and much softer than my old case at full ball. Angarak
Nice, Im tempted to switch to liquid cooling for my CPU/GPU.

Septic
Sorry I'm a bit clueless about these things: why has the new case helped with cooling? It is because its bigger and is more spacious inside? It looks great!
neo2810
Sorry I'm a bit clueless about these things: why has the new case helped with cooling? It is because its bigger and is more spacious inside? It looks great! It's because I've gone from 2x 80mm and a 120mm fan in a case with no cable management and very tight, to a much bigger case where cables are routed properly leaving clean airflow paths to all the components driven by 3x 120mm, 1x 140mm and 1x 200mm fans. More cooling + better airflow = lower temps

Wez
Its always puzzled me with these fancy cases why the PSU that generates lots of heat is mounted at the bottom Fair enough on the cases that have separate compartments.
marcAB10
so erm.. is it a flux capacitor or sumfink?

I have an NZXT Lexa (Quite an old design) But the PSU is positioned at the top of the case.
