marbleapple
My wife kindly tests our smoke alarms every time she cooks bacon so I know ours work!! We have 2 on mains and 1 on battery just to make sure. Also worth thinking of escape routes from the upstairs if the downstairs is on fire. Make sure you can fit through the window openings. Your lucky your wife only tests them with the bacon
Branners
Your lucky your wife only tests them with the bacon Well I can be certain the bacon will do it, she also does it with toast, beef burgers, sausages, chargrill chicken grills and fajitas. Has to be said, the smoke alarms we have are very sensitive.
neo2810
Great thread. I've got 3 battery ones fitted and a co2 monitor but they have a battery dead signal so I know when to replace them. Escape route is bathroom window and then it's just a short hop to move the sup to a safe distance
Aero-M
I do check them every few weeks, I have thought maybe I should get mains ones put in.
tbourner
Is there anything you would grab if you had the chance? I'd try to get to my 3 paperwork folders as they have all my important info in them - especially the home insurance info!! Obviously I'd then try to get the wife out safe. Andy-No-Knee
Why not get a fire proof safe/filing cabinet?? Then that way the Sup log book, your passports, porn pictures of Dame Edna will be safe! Did I just say that?!?!?!?
