Rapped? Were they spitting mad rhymes at you? In all seriousness Ive been had before but only for 80 quid, a case of the small amount to see if you notice before they really rape you.

My bank (Lloyds) were really good, card cancelled and replace inside 3 days and the cash refunded inside 5. The worst of it all is I had no idea how they got it as Im very vigillant with cash points and stuff.

Bad luck mate and good luck getting a quick resolution :)

If it's debit card theft, then the bank will return the money to you, if you can point out the illegal activity.

If it's credit card theft, then you're insured within a certain time frame anyway.

Just make sure the bank(s) cancel the cards, and get any proof together as soon as possible.

This happened to me a few years ago, and I had over £3,000 stolen from my bank account through some dodgy online payment. I'd only bought something for around £10!

I've been cautious ever since, but the banks are very good at returning the funds to you swiftly.

Good luck. :)

Normally a Shell petrol station with links to organised crime. Had my account done for a few grand over the years this way.

Shell have the card thing pointing at you though, they never even touch your card!

People think I'm weird but I always feel up the cash machine to make sure there are no unusual objects lying about. The scam happens way too often.

I just cover my hand when I type my pin, there's no way a camera could spot what I'm typing.

I think he means that he checks that there are no card scanners stuck onto the cashpoint trying to copy his card details :)

The info they get from scanners are no good without a pin though are they? The numbers don't include the security number from the back of the card so they can't order online or anything.
