Can OEM Recaro Rails be used on Recaro Seats off other cars?

Hi Ladies & Gents,

 

Just wanted to know if the OEM Recaro rails will fit onto say Recaro seats off Mitsubishi Evo seats? Or Recaro seats being sold on the Whifbitz website? Thanks

I would think they would but i'm not 100%.

 

Also one thing to remember with evo seats is they have no tilt forward function as they have rear doors, that might be a prob with MOT?

Oh thanks for pointing that out, i guess that rules out the evo seats. May have to look into Recaro's off a Civic or a DC2/DC5.

Have a look at the Recaro Speed seats. I think they are very similar if not the same as the Evo seats but with the tilt forward function.

Recaro Speed are the same as OEM Recaros but very different from most of the Evo seats (Evo6+). IIRC they are "Topline" or something like that.

 

Depending on what you want to spend you could get a nice shiney new set of seats for around £700 delivered. As far as I am aware all Recaro seats will fit all Recaro rails. The subframes is where the differences lie.

Yep, just checked on the Whifbitz website, the Seats of an Evo 6+ are called the top line.

 

Thanks for answering my Question Scott, so I will most likely be able to fit any Recaro seats onto the OEM Recaro frames.
