Ricky49
Today I was in hospital to have a endoscopy camera put down into my stomach and have a look around and take some biopsies from my stomach and dunodeum. God what an unpleasent expierience to have a tube the size of a 15mm pipe put down your throat. I was gagging, throwing up and all the nice nurses were saying your doing well while hoovering up my stomach contents (nice).

Robert
I've had the same buddy and i asked to have some anesthetic and the nurse forgot i wanted it so went through it all without any, it was the worst feeling ever. The doctor also took a biopsy of my stomach lining and i could bloody feel that too!

jonathanc
Had that before myself. I didn't throw up as I think it was almost impossible with that tube in you. Tears did come out of my eye though. Really weird feeling when the snip the piece out from your gut. I tried to close my eyes and imagine myself in a happy place... Hopefully everything goes well for you dude.

The Raven
Yup i can join this club. Like a tool i refused the pre med. About 40 seconds in i regreated it. I dont know whats worse the gagging, or the fact i could see those pincer type efforts ripping lumps of gut lining out.

caseys
I had one a couple of months ago (2nd this year!) to check if my stomach ulcer had cleared up. I admit it's not pleasant, but i refused the anesthetic as we have a young baby and if I had it, I wouldn't be able to look after her for 24 hours afterwards and didn't want to leave my missus in the lurch. Hope you get the all clear chap

CJ
Try having it done shoved up the other end! :-( I recently had to have that done - several times! Whilst it wasn't pleasant (probably the understatement of the year) I would think the big tube down the throat is worse. I hope it all works out OK Ricky.
