I've had my run in's with Sky over the years and I'm not there biggest fan, however, I've now found if you deal with Jodie things suddenly improve 10 fold. MR2 UK na to 2.8 30v V6 Syncro Passat Estate, added my wife to the policy, no change and only a small admin fee. We'll have to see what March brings come renewal time, but, for now, I'm happy with them overall.

Guys PLEASE any chance on my proof of no claims for my records, insurance expired on 18th Nov have requested this FOUR times now by phone to no avail?????

Tut tut guys! Sort it out.

Having dealt with Sky for years in the past I would like to fight there corner a little (except for above). There are no insurance brokers that are going to be able to compete with admiral and swift etc. especially seeing as car insurance prices are rising again.

However, being the club insurer they not only sponsor club events but there are able to assist with serious club cars. If you have a modified car that you want to declare all your mods on properly then IMO SKY, A Plan and Adrian Flux are your only options. I have always found Sky and A plan to be by far the best.

I think its unfair that they are getting grief for a renewal quote that is automatically generated on a STD car.

On a positive note......any publicity is good publicity! :)

I have a fairly modified car :) and have it covered with all mods declared and on an agreed value policy, its cheaper than Sky quoted me and its not A plan or Adrain Flux, i tried AF and they came across on the phone like they didnt know anything about half the mods on my car, i guess that might of me just being unlucky with who answered the phone but i wasn't impressed.

Im with LWIB and so far have found them to be much better than anyone else.

Well

Sky did get back to me and after running through some details with them, Kathy and Ollie sorted me out a fantastic deal on the 307.

They also explained to me why we get these silly quotes sometimes too and also Ollie has explained some issues mentioned on this thread.

So if your unhappy with the quote, give them a call before you jump boat. Although its a shame we have to go through these steps to get the best deal...thats just the way it is.

Thanks again Ollie and Kathy for sorting me out a great deal again... i wont lose my temper so fast next time lol

thanks again

Well after recieving a renewal quote of £484.10 for my 1.4 ek civic, i too called SKY and spoke to the lovely Cathy who managed to talk through my details and then went to work on reducing my quote. After about 30mins (would have been quicker had the GF not been on the phone) i recieved a call from Cathy and she had managed to bring my renewal down to £335 which is cheaper than any comparison websites that i have tried.

Thank you so much for your help, Cathy you are a STAR!!!
