A bad day rant :)

I was woken up my my girlfriend at 6am this morning, as the battery on her Polo seemed dead.

In my infinite wisdom, i'd seen fit to use my Dads Jaguar Xk60 for a few days (as he's away and asked me to use it a little), and apparently you can't get to the battery without taking a few of the boot trims off. This wasn't something I particularly wanted to do at such an early hour, so I popped accross the road to borrow my brother in laws Mondeo.

Pulling it out of his drive, i've managed to catch the front wing on some brickwork, denting the arch (which is flared on these models, and angled exactly where i've scraped it :( ) I reckon it's going to cost me circa £300 to sort it :(

I normally welcome the snow, and it's nothing but my stupidity that's caused this, but a word of warning: No matter how much of a rush you are in to get to work or wherever you go at this time of the morning, make sure you clear your windows properly if it's been snowing :)

All this before 8am. I think i'm going to stay in the house today, PS3 all day and hope nothing else bad happens :D

After a hair-raising drive back from work yesterday in half an inch of snow, I've decided to ground my Supra for a while.

Waking up to about 6 inches this morning (and then noticing the 6 inches of snow as well, boom boom), I'm thinking that's the right decision.

Hard lines on your scrape. It's always hard when you hurt someone else's car.

Know exactly how you feel dude, mines been a bad week! new Hilux wont start and supra's got a f*cked wheel. Having to get the train to work now. Got locked out the house last night and spent 2hrs in the snow tying to break in as NO locksmith would come out. Taking today off to get a new lock and chill out

To make matters worse, I suspect I have an unwelcome guest in the house. I keep hearing ruffling noises coming from the kitchen and the dog seems very interested in something. I reckon one of the field mice that live under my porch have got in. Another cuppa and then a trip to B&Q for a humane trap me thinks.

Traps are so boring!

I used an umbrella to neutralise a rodent that decided last year's christmas tree was a good spot to seek shelter.

Manageed to skewer the cute little fella as he made a dash from there to the TV cabinet.

Theres nothing like bringin down a wild animal to reaffirm your position as the alpha male.
