I'm gonna sound stupid but hear it goes!...

I have a manual TT

Is the reservoir inbetween the brake reservoir and engine for the clutch? :stupid:

The recommended fluid is Dot 3...not sure whats in there, is it ok to top up with Dot 5.1?

Cheers

Isn't Dot 5.1 an evolution of Dot 4.0 and isn't Dot 4.0 an evolution Dot 3.0 and therefore they are compatible and can be mixed?

Saying that, it still would be nice to drain the old fluid out and put some new stuff in. :)
