mentman
Hi Everyone, I'm getting my jap spec rz on sat, (can't waitttt!). Just wondering about the performance difference between the jap model and the uk model. I understand the turbos in the jap spec are smaller than the uk, but the jap spec turbos are lighter therefore spools faster. Do you think you could notice the difference in a sprint to 60 / 100. My new rz has a Blitz SBC electronic boost controller, Trust intercooler and a greddy hard pipe kit. Do you think it will do 0-60 in 5 seconds? I know it's difficult to say as so many other factors to consider, I just don't wana regret getting the jap spec if it's not as powerful. Tell me if im just sounding like a idiot tho! Thanks Al

Thorin
J-spec turbos are bigger, but still spool quicker than UK spec's. There is no real difference in performance.
Guigsy
J-spec turbos are bigger, but still spool quicker than UK spec's. There is no real difference in performance. yep i believe the uks are smaller but heavier blades means they spool slower. however because you this you can run 1.3 - 1.4 bar of boost safely and the jspecs dont like much above 1.2 bar. This negates the size and spool issue so there is not that much difference. a uk car has a dif cooler, bigger injectors and a higher flowing fuel pump. The trac control is also different i believe. A lot of people remove or turn it off all the time but i always leave my uk spec one on and its never let me down. and it doesnt seem to leave me in the middle of the road with no power ether like the others complain about

Lude
the bigger injectors & ability to run higher boost are the 2 factors, performance wise id imagine them to be more or less the same, but depends on the level of tuning on each car. unless both stock which is pritty rare!
