Strange engine noises

I only just noticed the other day, a light tapping noise from the engine bay, heard from onside the car. Much more noticeable when cold then warm but i can still hear it when warm. The noise does seem related to revs and more then anything sounds like its coming from the head. Also it does seem intermittent at the best of times, leaving me quite confused and hoping its not serious.

Anyone? Id rather get an opinion on it before i move it anywhere even to a garage to get looked at

sounds like could be your shims mate for the cams..(its nothing to have major panic over) they will just get worse over time..(some people never even bother getting them adjusted and live with it)

 

they can be adjusted by shimming the,-

 

best place in london is afr or whiftbiz for you..

 

speak to dude or paul am sure they do loads.
