Assassins creed brotherhood!

Absolutely superb,

If you liked ACII you will be right at home with this.

However, IMO this is more AC2.5 rather than a 3rd in the series. There is not a big jump from AC2 to Brotherhood as there was from the 1st to the 2nd. Fortunately though this suited me right down to the ground as I was gutted when I completed ACII as I thought it was brilliant.

If you remember in ACII where you renovate the Villa area, its similar to that but on a much greater scale. So far the story line is developing well (im at sequence 3, but have been renovating and doing alot of side quests) I've logged around 15 hours game time.

I cant really say too much with out spoiling aspects of the game but its like ACII on a bigger scale. Glyphs are back, 'The Truth'-with some cracking puzzles to, plenty of platforming action in the tombs, new assassination sequences during combat, carrying *2 main weapons, renovating, purchasing, exploring, its all here and done well.

There's also little things that help compared to ACII, for instance:

You enter an area with the red eye glyph icon, you pass through and dont find the glyph. At a later time you can go to the pause menu and set a marker to location where you havent found the glyph. Before you new the village the glyph was located in but had no idea which part of the city the village was in.

And to add to that, if you find the glyph but dont complete the puzzle you can leave it and access the puzzle from the start menu at a later time without going back to the glyph location.

You have an arrow on the main map pointing in which direction you are facing, something little but helps to know if you are travelling in the right direction.

Horses can be used in the city now, rather than not allowing them to go through archways etc when you arrive at a city.

There's also new objectives to reach 100% sync on a mission, for instance, there maybe an assassination where you must use your blade to kill the target, I used a different weapon and progressed to the next memory but only achieved 50% sync for that mission.

Loads of other stuff but you've probably fell asleep by now  But i'll say it again, its fantastic.

Not tried online ;) But will be when my pre order comes :D

so far i'm finding it absolutely terrible

no tutorials on how to select or use each weapon. the virtual training is impossible without knowing how to use each weapon, not tried multiplayer as can't use anything so seems pointless!

the first level of the game is boring, just same old run here go back here etc etc... not good 1st impressions..

It is AC2.5 fella, AC3 is getting released later next year, however there was such a high demand for more Ezio they decided to lengthen out AC2 a bit.

You really need to play AC2 to 'get' this game, if you play AC2 first, you will love it :)

I've ordered the codex edition, hopefully it will be here today or tomorrow as I have next week off work so can get some playing time in there.

been playing the multiplayer for an hour or so, and i can confirm this game is turd!!!

very slow, nothing like the pace of cod for example, very limited options. generally a very boring multiplayer.. i would have been gutted if i had bought this, taking it back as it sooo bad and swapping it for NFS hot pursuit....

I prefered the first AC over ACII. Although I understand Ezio is just learning about the who assassin thing, Altair was the man. And I prefered setting of 12th Century as apposed to 15th Century Italy. The game is still amazing, but I didn't feel it was as captivating as the first.

Isn't ACIII supposed to be set in modern times? Maybe with Desmond reaching his potential... This would be interesting. Not sure if I want to see more of Ezio though.
