Just worked out money spent on supra! What have others spent??

The car was £4500 5 years ago starting life as an n/a auto TT

 

The parts i have brought for the car over the last 5 years (some still to fit):

Bomex body kit, Uk Twin turbo engine, Xtrons sat nav, Glass lights, Grooved drilled brake discs, UK front rear calipers, 19" Mania wheels, front mounted intercooler, Map ecu, Apex a/f gauge, Apex Boost controller, 1 piece Decat pipe, gear shifter/handbrake cover, a pillar gauge holder, Exhaust, pedals, Seats recovered, Angel lights, Wheels refurbed, Roof liner, HID lights, Folding mirrors, Front rear ABS hubs, uk bonnet

Door cards, Glove box These parts come to £7363 [sHOCK][/sHOCK]

Parts to still fit car that are sat in my parents spare room.

Good job the misses has not seen the bill for all these parts

That means i have spent a total of £11863

 

Still to get New carpet and 4 speakers

Pics will be posted when i have all the parts i want and the car is being put back together in may.

I reckoned my NA cost me about 8K in total with buying the car and mods, tidying up etc. Sold the car for £4300 and then spent £9K on a VVti Tiptronic. That so far has set me back £750.00 in 8 weeks.

 

I too wish I hadn't thought about it now..!!

I sold my single as I didn't think I could afford it while i'm at uni, but i've ended up spending far more trying to make up for it

 

I've got use of two rather nice cars (which aren't mine) for a few months, so i'm hoping that will slow the spending down a bit

I've owned my Supra for 5 days and I've ordered parts totalling £1560 surely I've got the fastest spending rate..? If i keep this rate up i'll have spent over £20,000 on it by xmas

I have had the car just over two years and spent about 15-20k from MOT/service to build parts for my single build.

 

I would hate to think what people like LeeP, JamieP, Paul Whiffin and Hodge would of spent.

5 years ago I paid €38k for my supra TT... Road tax is €750 a year, no performance tuning done because

that's illegal in Belgium. Maybe after 5 years total money spent is around between €45k and €50k?

 

But it is worth it, it's a really great car!

I spent about 20k on my old Mk3 Supra. Granted about 10k of that went to DP Motorsport in the early days. I then learnt I could make a 650bhp MK3 for a bout 4k if I did it all the work myself, so sold about 6k of bits off as I bought big brand rubbish and none of it was needed. MY V6 MR2 conversion cost be about 2k including the car, engine and special gearbox and G45 Storm ECU. My Passat will cost be about £500 tops to put the V8 twin turbo motor in it (this will mostly be material and machining costs). The more people you know in need of a unique service, the cheaper it seems to get (isn't that right Ryan )

I shudder to think how much the new project is going to set me back, I did a quick tally of what I want done by summer next year and it's looking like £30k

 

I put about £10k into my old N/A(that includes some repairs though)

Hmm I have had mine almost a year and it's my first Supra. When I got it I counted on the most expensive bit being the petrol. I have just costed in the bits I can recall...
