neo2810
A work colleague was telling us his son had an English Literature exam this morning when a text came in from said son. He showed us the text which simply said "PAST" facepalm!

Matt H
If it's a text, it's forgivable. Past is a lot quicker to tap in than passed so he might just be doing the short hand.
Charlotte
I think it was the irony that made it post-worthy. Well - if he had taken an English Language exam then I'm inclined to agree with you but since it was an English Literature exam.....
neo2810
Well - if he had taken an English Language exam then I'm inclined to agree with you but since it was an English Literature exam..... Yes, because it's entirely possible to write an English comprehension based on an English novel you have read without the ability to speak or iterate the language. Charlotte
Yes, because it's entirely possible to write an English comprehension based on an English novel you have read without the ability to speak or iterate the language. It's certainly easier to make mistakes where the language is concerned. I'm not saying that's right.
Josh
What a dope. How old is he? If he's like 10 then he's forgiven, if not then he's a dope
Charlotte
That sounds like an admission of guilt Oh sorry, didn't see that reply - not at all, it's just one of those things that people get confused with like the their/they're/there thing. You'd be amazed how many people spell 'clinical trials as clinical trails'.

Abz
And when the mistake is pointed out, he will just blame the new shiny phone he got. I still write all my messages in full when texting, don't believe all this it is quicker short hand business. Only takes 20 seconds to write a text.
