lovatt
as sad as it makes me i think it is time to sell her, i have had her 4 years and she has never missed a beat, i didnt realise just how much i had spent on her till i started making the list ! i could have bought another one she is at her best, just finished her and in my eyes for my use it is my ideal supra, i feel its time to sell as the market is getting flooded with them, 4 years ago i would go weeks without seeing one but now i cant go for a ride without seeing one, i usually change my cars every 6-12 months and this has by far been the car i have loved most, i just feel its time to pass her on as i fancy something new details will be going up in the "cars for sale" soon, im not looking for a quick sale as i have time to play with and i will be looking for the right person who will look after it and not abuse it, anybody who knows me knows the work that has gone into it EVO 7 here i come

michael
You know you don't want a bland looking 7 Agreed, save up and get the VIII I've been looking at the EVOs myself recently (no shock to hear me considering a change eh!) but the Supra is making me happy right now, it's been 2 years this month so I still have a way to go. lovatt
lol at neil, wonder why you say that hehe the only thing putting me off going and getting one now is the looks, they are a bit boxy, but lets face it what ever i get is going to be slower in a straight line and not as good looking why you say an 8 and not a 7 ? they look the same and i cant justify the extra 5k + for it
J4CK50N
As I said to you last night mate - the Evo 6 is the way to go if your gonna go that way. The best one imho. Sorry to see that the car is gonna go! Take it easy m8 J4CK50N
terribleturner
i didnt realise just how much i had spent on her till i started making the list ! i could have bought another one You should have lived by these simple rules... 1. Never mix alchol with dairy, 2. Never date a woman with more stubble than yourself, and 3. Never Ever total up the amount you've spent on your supra. nuttynutz
agree with couple people here, evo 6 by far the best imo too. especially the tommy Makinen (sp?) looks the sportiest, looks the beefiest, and looks the meanest.
lovatt
i would be quite happy with an evo 6 but again they are starting to pop up all over the place, also my mate has one and i like to be original
Kopite
how about gettin SkyJawa's GTR? all the cash has been spent on that already
michael
why you say an 8 and not a 7 ? they look the same and i cant justify the extra 5k + for it The cosmetic changes are subtle but the front end is more aerodynamic and the bonnet has a bit more to it. You get the driving lights, CF spoiler different rear lights and nicer alloys (personal choice on that one though). It's the tech stuff they have played with a bit more, you get the 6 speed close ratio box to knock those all important 10ths of a second off your lap times ()) and the super active yaw control rather than the normal system, this is supposed to make quite a difference to the handling but I'm not sure how much a normal person would notice it compared to a racer. They also tweeked the suspension to lower the car a bit and played with the rear LSD to improve grip. For the VIII they redesigned the turbo and increased the size of the intercooler, the intake manifold has also been made more efficient I believe. You also get a better exhaust (straighter pipes or something) and a variable exhaust valve thingy to make it quiet at low revs. Most of the changes are stuff you could improve on yourself later anyway no doubt but each time they bring a new one out they seem to make something better, I haven't looked at the changes in the IX though. The VII is still a cracking car and the prices are fairly sensible now, it's just the insurance and 4500 mile servicing that lets them down. nismo_lp
Strange... i see ALOT more evos then Supras, must just be the Peterborough/Cambridge area? Think theres only 3 or 4 supras in Peterborough itself, only 1 of which is a turbo. Seen no end of Evo 7's latey and my mate ... only 18 ... has had an evo8 340 since they 1st came out, guess thats the real reason they aint overly impressive to me. Stunning cars though! If i had the money i think id be tempted! ummmmmmmm or maybe a WR1
