Sticking clutch?

Sods law after many trouble free years of the Supe it has started to fail in the lead up to winter...

If I try to pull away the revs rise quickly and the Supe pulls away but not as quickly as it should. If I stop trying to accelerate the revs drop and the Supe almost jolts as if it was stopping accelerating hard. This happens in all gears except for first - or at least it is less noticeable. Sometimes there is a smell but it is not the smell of a clutch burning.

I'm not the best with mechanics so I don't know what it could be or want to throw loads of money at it when I really want to put the money towards a TT :eyebrows: - Any ideas on what to check or what it could be? It's an NA 5 speed

Thanks for the replies guys, I was thinking it was going to be something along those lines - thankfully I have access to another car so I do not have to use it anymore. Any ideas on a rough cost to fix it? I need to sum up if it is going to be worth it in the long run when I want to upgrade to either a new Supra or dropping in a TT engine (+ the upgrades required)

It's the price of a new clutch + labour: complete guess... £100 parts + £100 independent labour? I might be off the mark though.

I would just do it if I were you, unless you're serious about going NA-TT. If you want to sell the NA it'll be hard to sell with a slipping clutch (or you'll get hammered on the price).
