Chris Wilson
I think they are Italian and made by the same people that make Cebora, I'd google the makers UK agents and ask a made up question about repairs in the UK, same thing I recommend about buying ANYTHING expensive that may go wrong. Personally I'd stick with well known brands that you know have UK support. I can't advise on these small inverter units, much as I'd like one I have a BIG transformer based TIG made by Migatronic that will run off both single and 3 phase. When I bought it inverter unit ones were in the infancy and very expensive. The only downside to the transformed ones are their size and weight, so don't discount them if it's to be used in a workshop only. Migatronic is Danish, with full UK service support even for older machines. I can't rate them highly enough, very helpful people with a good website: http://www.migatronic.com/default.aspx?m=2&i=166 Transformer based machines also give a convenient manoeuvrable mounting for a full size gas bottle. Factor in the hire cost for a full size Argon mix bottle, too!! Tungstens and shrouds also cost!! You need a foot control, torch switch is a PITA as you can't easily ramp the current up and down. Miller are excellent machines with good support worldwide.

Chris Wilson
Could you manage with a 3 phase machine, or does it have to be a portable single phase inverter type?
barneybrendan
Could you manage with a 3 phase machine, or does it have to be a portable single phase inverter type? needs to be single phase as i need to be mobile .Ideally something similar size wise to my kempi minarc 180 mig.i currently have my bottle mounted in the van with a long enough pipe to leave it there. Will price up a full size bottle as i have the shorter fat ones at the moment from boc
