Denmark has Introduced Tax on Junk Food - Should Britain Do the same to Cut Obesity

No.... we have enough tax as it is. Fat bastards will still eat loads of junk food whilst the people who enjoy it once in a while will pay more because the lards can't control themselves. Did putting drink prices up reduce the number of alcoholics, or making drugs illegal cut the number of users?

It's just another way of getting money.... they know a lot of junk food is sold, so lets tax it and make a shedload of money!

What they should do is introduce 'FAT TAX'. If you want to be fat, then you pay more airfair (excess baggage), you pay more car tax, more council tax, more national insurance... I could go on :D

Whopper. Is that better? Do i pass now?

No, you fat troll..!!

Personally, I don't think that taxing stuff actually makes much of a difference. People still get what they want, when they want. If they have no money they borrow it and get into serious debt. If a Whopper is now £4 instead of £3 will that really stop some heavy treader eating it?

If you make a Whopper £20 then maybe you will get people not bothering and then tucking into packs of lard on supramarket aisles..!!

Either way, tax will not stop this.

I agree. This way get rid of the national health, save millions on the budgets and maybe some would be more responsible. Private health care in Europe is not cheap but you do get a good standard of care (even at the GP level).
