tbourner
Anyone read it? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Time-Eat-Dog-Sustainable-Living/dp/0500287902 Sounds good, I've always liked this kind of thing, such as riding your bike is worse than driving since the energy needed to cycle costs more to the environment (especially if you eat steak) than the car!! Animal
This week's QI was on about this sort of thing. They said that a medium sized dog had as great a carbon footprint as a Toyota Landcruiser! That is taking into account the manufacturing costs of the car, too. Quite Interesting (ho ho) as its not something you generally think about. What we really need is a comprehensive list of the carbon footprint of everything in the world, that way we can completely audit our lives. Like, if I run over a dog, does that mean I can justify burning a tank of fuel at WOT? What about the crazy cat lady down the road? Am I justified in stealing her Vauxhall Viva as she's doing far too much damage already?
Matt H
Like, if I run over a dog, does that mean I can justify burning a tank of fuel at WOT? NA aren't you Animal? don't think it matters too much with one of them on WOT.
Animal
I was waiting for that... NA's still drink petrol on WOT, maybe I'd just need to hit a Yorkie or other little yappy-type dog.

I'm always arguing with the latest government idea to be 'green' though as it's usually hogwash when you check the figures!!
