Shadow Beast
...so you're the sole authority on disposal of such munitions? are you denying the fact some of these munitions do escape YOUR radar and people do end up picking them up and as a consequence getting injured or killed? careful where you trod your horse.. On this forum yeh I probably am unless you know another BDO?

Digsy
Well, Hydrogen really. It's clean, a powerful combustant and in abundance around the world. Only problem is efficiently separating it from oxygen Hydrogen my balls. Synthetic methanol is the key. It yes it requires huge amounts of electricity to create (which really means nuclear power), but if you've bought into hydrogen then you've accepted that problem already. However, unlike hydrogen you would not have to put in an entirely new transportation and storage infrastructure to be able to supply it, and re-engineering cars' fuel systems to take it is simple because it all goes in the same tank. ..and you can even make it from CO2 extracted from the atmosphere, thereby reducing greenhouse gasses at the same time. The waste products are hydrocarbons, which can be sold to the plastics industry. Problem solved, and we can all live in peace

I'd love them to be able to do something with Hydrogen because it's potentially more powerful and so clean. Either way, I just hope the clever people sort something out before it's too late

Guest Diematrosen
Taliban are based in Afghanistan no? Taliban responsible for 9/11? Ah, I remember the good old days when the Taliban (or Mujihadeen) were the good guys, fighting with only their meagre resources against the might of the Soviets to regain control of their poor oppressed citizens. The BBC and ITV even had 'embededd reporters' alongside the Mujihadeen showing how brave they were fighting and winning against the odds. News reports at the time took great pleasure in showing the Soviets getting stuffed. That was in the eighties, how times change. Don't think any outside power has ever won a war in Afghanistan. Oddball87
I'm not proud of our forces invading other countries under false pretences. I'm not proud of the murder of innocent women men and kids our forces have contributed to... Murder is murder - there is never a justification for it. Sucide bombings never happened in Iraq or Afghanistan prior to the invasion... And before you harp on about the freedoms we get due to "our boys" - take a long hard look at what's really happening in this country. And yes - I was airing my views since 1997... So nothing really changed for me apart from the price of diesel... i am sorry but if dont like it do one.
Max Headroom
Anyway getting back to respect for the dead, those idiots had none, simple as! If I were standing next to them I would have ripped their heads off, not because they were muslim but because they had no respect. Once again it is the vocal minority who grab the headlines while every other law abiding citizen joins in and remembers the sacrafices our fathers and grandfathers made. It is not just these idiots, we have our own christian fundamentalists who are just as bad, and they need a slap too!!

Guest Diematrosen
http://www.differencebetween.net/miscellaneous/difference-between-taliban-and-mujahideen/. According to the above you are correct, although I'm sure thats not the only interpretation.. They both sound pretty much the same to me though, which was really the point, heroes or villains, depending on which side of the fence you're on.
