Come on then, shine your enlightened wisdom down on us naive fools living in ignorant bliss, totally fooled by our evil dictators and scheming media. You liberals make me laugh so much, always with "we shouldn't be there,we should do this and that" but you never say what we should do. I'm so glad we have more people with bollocks in our country because if they were all like you we'd be well screwed

Looks like you are living in ignorant bliss - our country is screwed, don't believe 'me just check any financial reports issued in the last two years... The new spending cuts which will ultimately lead to more job losses... The list is endless- yet we're still pumping money into the war machine... it saddens 'me to find people like you still exist in the day and age of media where it's possible to educate yourself and rise above the bs the mainstream media shove down our throats.

In response to your earlier question... How about we held a proper inquiry into 911 and once ALL the facts were collated we could then take relevant action? Or is that not "gun-ho" enough for you?

It has gone off topic,we are supposed to be talking about the soldiers that died in world war 1,wonder what state the world would be in now if they hadn't bothered to fight...

You really need to brush up on your history and find out what happened on the front lines during first christmas and beyond.

I own and run my own business and my financial situation is just fine thanks :)

As for the government pouring money into the war machine, what do you suggest we do? Pull out and let the training of terrorists commence.

You think because you've been on a couple of 9/11 conspiracy forums your educated.in fact your are just showing everyone how gullible you are.

Now please explain to me what our country should do now?

Oh ffs leave it guys. Look, the whole topic of the legality of the war in Iraq/ Afghanistan is quite deep and complicated and whilst we all have strong views its not going to be of any help getting personal about it on a car forum.

Let's all chill and have some Vimto.

My great great grandad died in world war 1 and great grandad died in ww2. All to protect our freedom.that's all I need to know. They were asked to fight for their country and did it.

.... I was referring to the financial state of our country (but nice to know you are doing well) - launch a public inquiry into the events surrounding 911 and if it turns out bush and and cronies were involved - put them on trial for war crimes. British forces should leave both afgan and Iraqi lands..

Chances of a terrorist campaign in our country have increased ten fold (IMHO) with us going in.

Those wars were justified As we were under threat - that's the difference.

I would agree the chances of terrorist attacks has increased as a result of us being there. I do however think we are doing more good than bad being there.

The financial situation is worldwide, not just here.

If we do nothing to rid the world of these extremists how long will it be before we are under threat.prevention is better than cure sometimes...

i think you'll find there are extremists in every segment of society - but the threat of the taliban and it's base has now got a much stronger global reach - all thanks to the events after 911. I just hope we never experience the horrors of war in this country as our forces carry out in far away lands.

one of the comments on that youtube link summed it up nicely:

"The whole point is that Iraqis are much worse off now than before we invaded. From lack of security to lack of jobs to lack of electricity to lack of potable water to destruction of the healthcare system to destruction of the educational system to destruction of women's rights to devastation of an entire nation, illegal occupation makes the brutality of the Ba'athist regime preferable by comparison. Ask any Iraqi who is NOT on the U.S. payroll."

When was the last time you spoke to an Iraqi ?

I am in regular contact with friends i made in Iraq in my 4 years working there, and not one of them would agree that being ruled by the ba'athist party is preferable to today.

And the main reason that most major cities only have their electricity limited to a few hours a day,is because the equipment is damaged or destroyed by people who do not wish for Iraqi people to succeed on their own.

I think that the fact that most major cities are now being controlled by the Iraqi police and army, with only assistance from coalition forces, shows that progress has been made .

I didn't want to add to the aggro but it's not off topic any of this. The point of a forum is to communicate and people need to wake up quickly. I can't help but to respond when someone just doesn't get it though. It takes time to get your head around this stuff, believe me and not everyone has enough courage to face the daunting task. Sorry guys but watch 911 In Plane Site etc. then Google/Youtube William Rodriguez, WTC7 and I could go on. Bush stole the 2000 election by a Supreme Court ruling 5/4. Bought and paid for. This, after an arbitrary deadline and months of losing black voting slips and refusing to count them in his brother's State of Florida. Next in 2004 he stole the next one with electronic vote rigging. I've even heard an interview with the guy who wrote the software.

Illegal wars? Did you miss what happened on 9/11? That's why the war in afghan has started

As for Iraq, the whole world is better of without saddam.

People forget very easily that we live in a free country because we do something about countries that are dangerous and sadly wars always produce casualties.

Iraq was as much a threat to us as New Zealand, (fantastic driving country btw ;-). Hans Blix proved it and they stopped him from finishing his job. I can't believe they didn't plant WMD's, they're so corrupt. Blair admitted that he 'stretched the truth' to paraphrase and Robin Cook dropped dead (just like John Smith, David Kelly et al)) after he mentioned that Al-Qaeda actually means The Database (CIA operatives). Clare Short kept her mouth shut and survived but was the only voice of reason left in the Cabinet under Blair, that is, until she resigned.

Free country? As the law stands now, you have no rights, period. The truth is no defence. Any trumped-up charge (infact, no-one has ever been charged of an offence in Guantanamo Bay to my knowledge), can get you disappeared to some foreign country for 'questioning'. Watch Extraordinary Rendition for some sense of what people are going through right now. We aren't even free to drive our cars and speak our minds unless some self-appointed 'Authority' grants us the 'priviledge'. Freedom is a birthright, not a priviledge and it starts with your mind. Free that or you're a pawn.

We're free to work hard, pay a large part in tax at source, then get taxed again when we spend it (WTF??), (soon to be 20% VAT), on petrol for example that's already taxed at whatever ridiculous percentage already. It costs 5c a barrel to extract btw. Not a bad markup!

Avererage speed cameras with automatic fines and toll roads will show you how free we are. Oh, sorry, we already have them! Been down the M1 recently or through the Dartford tunnel/Severn bridge, Congestion Zone etc.?

Next you'll be saying that there's no plan to microchip everyone!

Read this if you dare and it's not even that detailed; http://www.opednews.com/populum/diarypage.php?did=15003

Finally, the whole left-right thing, it's just divide and rule. Wars aren't started by the population because they're not organised and we know that it's not in anyone's interests. It takes planning and leadership to start a war and lots of money. That's the origin of taxation afterall. 9/11 was just an excuse, ("Our Pearl Harbour", G.W. Bush), to continue where G.H.W. Bush left off. He had the sense to leave Saddam Hussein in power to prevent the civil war they have now. Funny how Tony Ben visited him on camera a week before kick off and suddenly we 'lost track' of him. Yeah, right!

On twitter about 25 min ago.... i'm sure the people of iraq appreciate the daily suicide bombings which sometimes leave hundreds dead. It's easy to blame someone else when s41t hits the fan eh...
