CJ
I am coming back to the UK in December for a 2 week visit and was thinking about getting a Sat Nav to help me get about. Seeing as it is only going to be used for 2 weeks I am looking at the cheapest option available. Any suggestions?

Dnk
Perhaps borrow one from a friend ?
CJ
Tomtom Are they the cheapest available then? They certainly weren't when I was living here. Perhaps borrow one from a friend ? That would be ideal my friend - but finding someone willing to give one up for 2 weeks may be difficult.

I'd lend you my Tom Tom 720 but my concern would be it getting lost or damaged in the post, unless ofcourse your swinging by South B'ham then no problem
RobSheffield
Are you hiring a car to get about CJ? I had one for a day the other day that came with nav, or most hire car companies can include the loan on a satnav.

Havard
Ring me Col and I'll tell you how to get there, problem solved. We have two Satnavs but again, we are a little out of the way mate. I could post post you one if you want, it's about 5 years old but still pretty up to date. H.

Thats a very kind offer my friend but i have just heard from my Ex wife and she says she has one to lend me so I am now all sorted. So, all we need to do now is organise the meet? Chris Wilson
Is the art of reading a map totally dead these days then? It's a small island with sensibly named places unless you feel brave enough to venture into Wales.
CJ
Is the art of reading a map totally dead these days then? Welcome to the 21st century my friend. CJ
I am on it. Dates would be good though. I fly in on the 1st but I am going to be tied up until the 7th. So, any day from 8th until 12th - is that any good?

straightsix
Is the art of reading a map totally dead these days then? It's a small island with sensibly named places unless you feel brave enough to venture into Wales. My map stops at the Welsh Border. It just says 'DANGER - KEEP OUT'. My sat nav starts to tremble as soon as I press 'L' twice......
