With the Internet these days, Magazines and cars are becoming a thing of the past. You will find more magazines may follow the same path.

I think Max Power did help the modded scene ages ago, now you can get more info/pics/prices traders etc on what you want with a quick google

RIP.... :D

I used to buy MP every month untill a few years back. It just ended up with loads of cars that had silly amounts thrown at them and companies doing all the work. There were no more 'homegrown' and low budget stuff in it anymore and that was the thing that attracted me to it at the start.

Now i just buy Retro Rides and the odd Banzai and Fast Car if there is something eye catching on the cover.

has anyone in the club been featured in MP? supra or any other cars?

Sadly yes with my Turbo'd 2.0L New Beetle back in 2001, was quite a laugh doing the shoot. Also had shoots back then with Redline magazine and Performance VW too.

April 2001 Steveo - They did the shoot in the Portsmouth Tricorn centre and sadly photochopped flames over the wheels! Classy!

Marc it's a long story involving a divorce case and it's been out of sight out of mind since. I took that picture June last year and had intended on getting it out and running for the missus, but it's taken a back seat. It's running a Rotrex Supercharger and nitrous, or was before it got mothballed, it needs a programable ECU to get it running again, and an MOT as it's never had one, it's got 31k on the clock IIRC.
