Matt H
I downloaded a game app for the iPhone without really thinking about it around Halloween time. I've not played it since and forgot about it until about 5 mins ago. It was called Coin Dozer Halloween and it was free. Basically a simulation of one of those stupid 1p /2p/ 5p etc machines in arcades that draw kids in to drop their money through the slots onto a pushing plate, which in turn pushes it into a waiting batch of coins in a hope that other coins will be pushed over a ledge into the hopper below for them to collect... So I was anticipating a novel game based on the above principle but with a twist so you can make your way through levels or something. But what you get is just exactly the same as you find in the arcades, the simulation even has those angled sides that actually prevent anyone from winning more than they put in, plus drop off sides that puts money into the vault of the machine (if it was real). So you start with 40 coins, and sure enough, you end up losing more and more of them. You get like 1 more coin every 30 seconds. Why the F would anyone want to play a simulation version of such a stupid concept in reality?! Ok, so you're thinking so what, but here's the magic that I don't know whether to laugh or cry over! You can click on 'purchase coins', where you'll be able to select (from multiples of 50) how many coins you want to buy for your game - for REAL money, from the iTunes store!!!!! That's right; you can buy fake money for real money to toss down the pan, with the only chance of winning fake money back?!!!!!!! OMG, is anyone that retarded?!?! Unbelieavable! Of course it's free to download!

The thing is, what are you aiming for? You can't win any more coins than you started with. It's just a game of loosing fake coins?! With the option of buying more fake coins to lose! It's just completely pointless! No skill either, drop and coin and hope for the best! It's just shocking!
