Starting to think I may need to sell or strip the Supra

Well as some may know, I was off work for 5 months last winter due to illness.

We have just started to get our money sorted again to a level of thinking of the future again instead of which bill to pay.

I have been working for Backline agency Hgv driving or whatever they had for me, it's been quite consistant work for the past few months, but in the last 2 weeks I have only worked 2 days.

To prevent going backwards, toward the large overdraft etc I am considering striping some parts off my car or just selling it completely, due to the ever rising running costs(well fuel mainly), I will be absolutely gutted to do either

I know the market is not good at the moment which is why I am thinking of striping some bits out instead.

I am not after any sypathy or anything, just needed to air my thoughts as I am sat at home frustrated

I have even started playing Evony again to pass the time

Going to ring around the supermarkets in a minute to see if they have any vacancies:rolleyes:

I have never claimed benefits in my life(I am 40 for those that don't know me) and it's looking like I might have to, typically the goverment is making this even harder now I might need some help, although I don't even know where to start on the claiming front

Really I guess this should be a rant about the way the country is at the moment, but I guess I am not the only one in this boat

All I want to do is work for a living, is that to much to ask for:(

So sorry to hear that Rodgy :( Take it off the road for a few months and get yourself a bicycle, find a job and go for diet.

Most of us fighting to keep it but if we loose our jobs, homes, friends at least under the bridge we will be sleeping in Supras :)

Sup is not just a part in your life is a part of your life.Me and Alan want to help you so we decided to donate £20 for you to keep your Supra, as they say "Every little helps". Pm me your bank details or paypal.

Because Supra is worth it.

That's tough dude..! I hope thing's get better for you..! There is still pleny of oportunities out there..! Keep fighting, think big..!

But if you do decide to strip the Supra I would be interested in some Defi Guages if you have any..!

Good Luck..!

I hope it doesn't come to that mate. The supermarkets prefer to take on older folk instead of school leavers as they are more reliable.

The mother in law works in Asda and loves it, so it is worth a go.

Keep your chin up mate, if you want a job you can get one! It may not be what you are used to or what you may want to do but it would pay the bills!!

Thanks for the kind words guys

Thanks to you both, but donations not necessary yet, I am sure something will come along, just getting really frustrated at the moment, we were just feeling comfortable again

Mate, Im not one to flout my business on here..... A few guys know about my misfortune in June. I have always had a decent job (30k) well thats decent for me with the other half working as well. In June I lost my job (long story and not really going into all of it) but I had no job from June - Sept and started a job in August. Its full time but low money but at least I am working. While I have a job I can look for a big money job again. So I feel your woes matey but believe me dont start thinking of selling bits/the car. Things will pick up for you.

I found myself in new teritory not working and it sucked but I know I am on the upward path. While selling parts / the car may relieve some short term pain it will definately not give you any long term gain :)

Hope things improve matey

Scotty

I know how you feel :(

Just spent £6k on repairs to my other place & at the moment pretty much in my overdraft which I really hate! This is one of the reason why I needed to sell my Supra or other wise I'd be fine. Times get tough sometimes & if it wasn't a mortgage on the line then the Supe wouldn't be up for sale.

Hope things get better for you, keep looking it as the opportunities I find come when you are least looking for them, or are tired of looking for them!
