Guest ash_ep3
Hi all, My name's Ash, I'm 22 and work in IT at the mo... My interest is cars, gym, gaming (xbox 360, ps3), music etc etc I'm currently driving a Honda Civic Type R ep3 (hence the name ) at the mo. I'm looking at getting a Supra within the next year or two and I've signed up to this site to catch up on news and read guides on Supras!! Ultimately I want to get a UK TT (Manual) but as from reading the guide and looking on the net they seem very hard to find and once you do find them they aren't cheap! I'll be looking to spend 10k Comments / Opinions welcome
scotty71
Welcome mate, Yeah a UK TT Manual wont be cheap if in great condition with lowish miles. Good luck with the search and get some pics up of the Civic then ditch it and buy a Supra Scotty

Havard
Welcome..!! Good luck finding a mint TT6 for that money. May be worth looking at a well equipped J-spec..!!
monsween
I was in your boots a few years ago looking for a UK TT6. Insurance reasons perhaps? I eventually found a J-Spec and very happy with it. Infact i'd go out and say im glad i dont have a uk spec. Good luck and dont discount the j-spec tt6
Guest ash_ep3
Thanks for the comments guys. I haven't dis-regarded the J-Spec Supra at all... I know there are many examples you can get for around the 10k mark... Seen plenty of Autos for around 6/7k!!! I've always had manual N/A cars previously... the Civic is the quickest car I've owned and tbh I like it but I've always had a big soft spot for the Supras... apart from the cosmetic differences and luxuries between the UK-Spec and the J-spec the power output is exactly the same? scotty71
Officially no... The UK was put out at 326 BHP and the J Spec 280 - Unofficially yes In reallty they are both the same as Jap Manufacturers at the time could not produce a car over 280 BHP due to the "Gentlemans Agreement" Google it

Half the time the adverts for Supra's are not correct going by the guides on here... most ads don't see to state what type of supra it is... You will find quite a few of us IT geeks on this forum I thought as much, it's just I've seen in previous adverts that some Supra's are only producing 300bhp? Half the time the adverts for Supra's are not correct going by the guides on here... most ads don't see to state what type of supra it is... My JSpec produced 352 bhp at SRR rolling road with just the cats removed
