dandan
Hi guys, I'm giving some thought to buying this Ford Focus but I don't like the dark front tints and would need to have them removed. Can it be done easily or do I need to take it to a "tinting shop" to have it untinted? Cheers Dan
Gaz6002
Pretty sure you can just peel it off mate. I saw it on Road Wars
stevie_b
I removed a dark tint from my supra's rear window: fairly easy to do, just get it warm and peel it back slowly and steadily. Can leave a sticky residue behind, but that can be cleaned off with various cleaning products (search on here for info). For windows without heated elements, you can probably go nuts a bit more with the cleaning.
Scott
The stuff peels off. Trouble is it is quite fragile so in order to do it in one foul swipe you want to use a hairdryer.
dandan
OK thanks fellas - sounds like one hurdle potentially out the way without too much difficulty.
peter richards
if its not been on there long , it will peel of quite easily , may leave some glue , but glue/tar remover will sort that out . now if its been on a while it could be a sod to get off , your going to have to get a heat gun / hairdryer , pick an edge and work it very slowley or it will come off in bits , same as before glue and tar remover then clean the glass
