Josh
If that car is as advertised then it is quite special and very rare being a low mileage 6 speed UK spec and as it came from Toyota. Someones removed the headlight washers though ! My guess is it's not a UK spec car The only place to quote me last night was performance direct with a quote of... £6430. I'm thinking now if I waited until next June I would have been driving for 5 years, have 4 years no claims and I'd be 22. I'm going to phone some more tonight and see what they can do. I did establish that Admiral don't do modified or imported cars even though they asked me if it was imported to which I answered "yes". They also asked if it was modified to which I answered "yes". I then told her all the mods and when I'd done that she said "Sorry about this but we don't cover modified or imported vehicles". Then why the hell did she ask me to tell her all the mods? Any other suggestions of cheap companies would be appreciated. Thanks for the input so far

jackso11
I live in london, don't drive much but my sup is my only car. I spend £100 a month on petrol. Then again I drive my missus's car a fair bit
Josh
Lancaster Insurance were good for me when i had my Supra. Again, thank you. That's another one on the list to call tonight. I hope I can get a good deal because I don't want to have to be 'sensible' and wait until next year or even longer.
Matt H
If you can discipline yourself to drive at 20mpg all the time then fair play, either way I am going through close to 500 Euros per month of fuel on my, I didn't just pull that number out of my ass. I only use my car to go surfing at my local beach and meet with friends at night. I think he needs to be realistic on his average miles 666 = 21 miles per day driving at 20mpg..! LOL Yeah right what's the point having a BPU Supra..! 500 euros is ~ £428. Even with your fair share of hoofing it around he won't spend that much each month. Are you paying like £2.50 a litre where you are? If you didn't pull that number out of your ass, I think you need to get your car looked after as it sounds like its running richer than rich if you're getting through that much. True, if it costs £70 to fill a tank I don't think I'd need to fill it nearly 2 times a week. That'd be crazy!
Josh
Just a bit of an update. After phoning quite a few insurance companies, most of them wouldn't give me a quote due to my age and/or the modifications. The ones that would were quoting me over £5000. Do you think the difference between a stock TT6 and a BPU would be much, insurance-wise? If I bought a car that was stock and the insurance wasn't that much then I could keep it stock for a couple of years and go BPU when I'm older. What do you guys reckon?
