steady_dave
...i've watched a few videos of some hign powered cars recently (The blue Falken Supra doing a burnout was what brought this question on) At the start of the video when he revs the engine before setting off there are lots of load pop's. Is this fuel cut? If so what does this do and why does it produce a loud bang. If not what is it?
Gaz6002
The loud bang is unburnt fuel igniting the exhaust, usually the result of a 'two-step' rev limiter (like the Bee*R one) or anti-lag systems. Not sure which as I don't know the video you're talking about.
Nic
Could also just be bouncing off the stock rev limiter.
bodilx6
It is his launch control. Part of the engine management I think. Lots of geeky people install launch control systems here in DK to do that.. :-( - a bit embarrasing... BUT... driving through a dark tunnel at night, can make it quite interesting (de-clutch and floor it..) ;-)
