Supra Oil leak whilst stored

Hi there guys

Well I've recently returned from some travels and the Supra has been kept in underground garage storage for the past 8 months or so.

I'm keen to get her back on the road and serviced but it seems there's been a bit of an oil leak. Not entirely sure where it's come from but don't want to start her up until I know it's safe. It's quite a large puddle of oil but the engine oil dipstick is up to full. I've attached a photo of the underside...

Any ideas or things I should check?

Cheers,

Francis

Is that the oil patch on the floor (looks alot) is the oil down on the dipstick? if so i`d say its leaked from your rear crank seal and through the bellhousing, is it defo engine oil?if its gearbox oil it could be front gearbox seal, if both oils are quite old i`m not sure how you will tell if its engine or gearbox.

If its the engine or gearbox, either way the gearbox will have to come out to rectify the leak, first take the inspection cover off and have a nose. it may have been leaking before you stored it, and that oil has accumlated driving it along throwing it about.
