saw them in mancland last night, all i can say is "OH MY GOD!" was 10 times better than the last time i saw them, The Bravery and Snow Patrol were cool as support acts too. All the classics were played, New Year's Day, Pride, Sunday Bloody Sunday etc as well as spine tingling performances of Sometimes You Can't blah blah, One etc.

The only problem was the idiots who thought it would be good to put the M62 leaving manchester down to a single lane - only took 2.5 hours to get back to Liverpool!!

Gotta agrue with you there.

They were back to doing what they do best..... Stadium Rock.

Stunning versions of Where the streets...... and Elevation

Could have done without the God stuff though IMHO.

The organisation at the Stadium was awful though, people getting crushed, people standing in aisles, fire exits  they need to get that sorted before somebody gets hurt.

As for the road works :swear: I got home at 3.30.

But the gig was worth it.

Where did you watch from?

We sat to the right of the stage about 50 yds away.

i weren't too keen on the version of Elevation, just because it dragged on a bit. Where the streets have no name was quality too. i went there not expecting too much because a lot of people were disappointed during the US leg. but they played a lot of my fave stuff because i love playin U2 songs on the guitar, werent expectin New Years Day at all!

i agree about the God stuff etc, i don't like people who continously preach etc BUT i think it's great about the Drop the Debt thing. thought i was bad how Bono got the little girl up from the crowd and sat her up on stage..... was a while before someone thought they best give her some ear plugs! :o

we were to the left of the stage in the executive area or something! was a good place like, weren't too far from the stage! just gotta get my pics developed now :D can't believe the road works though! :twak: the stadium isn't great for cars leavin the car park either! and it's not an area i wanted to be spendin too much time in (hence why my mate drove and the supe was left far away :D)

Too right! :scare:

Glad I left the Soop at home too.

Biggest surprise for me though was that they sang Sunday, how it was originally recorded.

Oh yes and The Electric Co :thanku: :thanku: :thanku:

Not heard that live for a few years.
