Josh
I don't know about waterproof trainers but I bought a pair to run in and the lady gave me some waterproofing spray which she said was as good as the waterproof shoes. Maybe check that out on Google to see if you can make it cheaper

Andy-No-Knee
I swear by these. I have had my currant pair for 3 years and only now has the gore tex just started leaking. I run in them and mountain bike in them. Time to get a new pair. http://www.outdoorkit.co.uk/product.php?product_id=
edge
Not sure about the trainers but i use the waterproof spray on my walking boots as mentioned and it is good stuff. You can waterprroof pretty much anything you need to. Not that expensive so pick up a tin aswel the trainers and maybe pop some on the customers cars if you run low on polish as it gives that same beading effect
Rob
Alternative answer...if you already have trainers and don't want to spend loads on new waterproof ones, buy some SealSkinz socks instead for about a tenner. Dry feet, wet shoes.
