chazuk
took mine off the other day while the engine was out I did not have to touch the pas pump to get the ac pump off .
Lude
ok, know the PS pump uses the above as a bracket, perhaps the AC pump is on the outside then & i just need to hammer it free? ive had a crowbar on it and hammered it & wiggled, seems stil stuck somewhere? 3 bolts on the front & one on the side? Andy Blyth
There's 4 bolts and a stud with a nut on. IIRC you don't have room to take the compressor off the stud, nor room to take the stud out first. You have to undo the nut, then unscrew the stud and remove the compressor and stud together. You can leave the power steering pump in place.
Lude
cheers! yea ive undone the 4 normal ones, this is the one iv missed, guess this is the torx one, will have a look for it on the weekend, the unit should drop out then somehow PS here is the new belt you need http://www.google.co.uk/products?q=6PK1865&aq=f Edited November 9, 2010 by Lude (see edit history)
Andy Blyth
The nut is just a normal 6-sided nut, the stud is external torx. You'll need a socket similar to this: Sorry, I can't remember the size.
